330ml can from Beer52, drank at home on 13th July 2026. Bright, clean and clear pale golden body, fast fading white head. Weak and bland with very little of anything. Surprised it's 3.8% ABV to be honest.

330ml can via Beer52, drank in my garden on 5th July 2026. WC Pils, is that West Coast or Water Closet? This was actually OK, second Mexican beer before the match (Mexico v England World Cup). Bright, clean and clear light golden body, snow white crown on top. Citrus bite and a piney undertone, almost enjoyed it!

[33cl can from Beer52, brewed in the EU.] A pale straw colour with a loose white head; sweet cereal grain aroma; taste to match with a hint of lime and a faint whiff of grass; then a grainy finish.

On tap at Morenos, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is extremely boozy, with paint thinner and perfume from the barrels, along with salinity and earthy notes. Flavour is surprisingly better, seeming more like a tequila-like barrel character, some agave, citric notes, and a little booze. This tastes like a boozy tequila BA beer. A terrible idea—smells terrible but tastes alright ultimately.

On tap at Morenos, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Nose has mostly fermented out honey and bready malt. Flavour has fermented out honey, bready malt, and some old dusty wood. This is more vienna than mead—the honey is pretty buried. It’s alright.

On tap at Morenos, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma has gentle piney hops, some dusty woody pine, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is pretty on point, with dusty, woody piney hops, light resins, and dry biscuity malt. Great woody pine expression from the Centennial and Columbus. Balanced well and well-hopped. Very good.

On tap at Morenos. Pours black with a beige head. Perfumey bourbon barrels on the nose. Flavour also has perfumey spirit barrels, dark berries, light acidity. The barrel-aging process is fucked up, but it ends up working out with the base beer somehow. Surprisingly thin for a 13% beer. Not a great beer, but worked out better than expected based on the nose.

On tap at Morenos. Pours clear gold with a white head. Grassy pine and a touch of allium on the nose. Flavour has fibrous, woody pine and allium hops with decent malt base, maybe a touch thin. Hops are coming through a bit vegetal, but not too bad. Solid IPA.

On tap at Morenos. Pours clear amber with a white head. Some dry bready malts on the nose with some honey accents. Flavour has a creamy honey sweetness, some light dry bready malts; a touch of floral honey notes. Not bad, but lacking complexity for this ABV. Odd, not sure this worked.
