HUGE thanks to SinH4. Bottle sampled on train pre-ZBF 2018. Orange golden. Nose is massive walnut oxidation, low sherry, sugar, candy, apple, lots of walnut, oxidation. Huge nut, oxidation, sugar, low plastic, walnut, massive oak, sugar. Thick sugar, dry wood finish. Really dug the wood & walnut profile, def better than No. 2.

0,2l bottle at home courtesy of Saeglopur, big thanks. amber clear color, almost no head. smells by pears, some apple notes, bit herbal, earthy, bit medical, rather subtle and nice smell. full body, almost no carbonation, oily mouthfeel. tastes of pears, bit medical, rather sweet, honey, apple notes, light alcohol. finishes kinda dry-ish and lightly acidic with notes of apples, pears and honey notes. rather dense, nice sipper, rather oily. very nice but also not totally my thing. a touch medical for me.

Bottle. Near-transparent color with fizzy white head. Aroma is pear, fresh yeast, quite tickling in the nose. Taste is pear, medium sweet, quite dry in the back, slightly dusty. Foamy carbonation. Decent!

Bottle. Deep amber color with no head. Aroma is pears, bratapfel, walnuts, almonds, plums. Taste is almonds, walnuts, pear juice, a touch mealy, tannins, cinnamon. A tiny touch of carbonation. Not exactly as intense as No. 1 (where our bottle leaked a bit), but almost as great - the aroma really loses, but it goes into the same direction. Very surprising that Austria can do this!

Bottle, slightly leaking, many thanks Saeglopur! Deep amber color with no head. Aroma is bratapfel, sweet pears, walnuts and almonds, a touch acetone, wet cellar. Taste is walnuts, pears, sweet, funky, wild, deep sweetness. A tiny bit carbonation. Super nutty, super tasty, and surprisingly different. Almost like the Pinnacle 1859 in terms of nutty flavours. Amazing that a random producer from Austria can produce such a great Ice Perry. 8-5-8-4-17. A couple of weeks in the fridge: Wow, this is really growing on me. Need to get moar. This really does not need to hide against its Canadian role models. 9-5-8-4-18

200 ml bottle.
Amber-copper, clear body, no head.
Aroma of mead, sweet and slightly sour ripe pears, sweet apples, plums, gummi bear sweets.
Tastes amazing, quite similar, while with a bit more tart notes and an oily, concentrated character.
Medium, oily, velvety mouthfeel.
Finishes long, sweet, concentrated, sticky, slightly tart, warm, with pear juice, red apple juice, honey.

Very lovely stuff! Sweet, oily, concentrated liquid, while there is a subtle tart character, typical for the pears, giving this a lot of depth. I'm no expert on Ice Cider/Perry at all, this is my first one with pears actually, so I don't have much reference points, but I enjoyed this big time, something really special.
