Very thick, huge, lacey snowwhite head over hazy yellow beer with Grünstich. Bit soapy nose, citrus, and, I'm quite sure, coriander. Gingery and peppery as well. Coriandersoup in the worst tradition. Fain spicy bitterness, light wheatacidity underneath. Fizzy, wheatslickness, light body. Hopeless.

Bottle from LDW. Hazy yellow/golden colour, white creamy foam. Citrussy, banana, very yeasty. Taste is sweet malty along with some grassy bitterness.

F: big, white, long lasting. C: pale gold, light hazy. A: malty, spicy, banana, yeasty. T: sweet malty, banana, yeasty, bit spicy, bit soapy, mix good and bad and yes enjoyed, medium body and high carbonation, 0,33l bottle from Spar supermarket in Oostende.

Small to medium white head over cold hazed metallic golden beer. Strong penetrating pale malts nose in the first instance, later much more mellow & creamy. Even a bit dairy. Green leaves and grassy. Sweetish pale mats, lightened by a slight sourness - mostly from the CO². Hops just good for not too much sweetness. Finish has a soft fruity sourness finally. Light, very well-carbonated, bit sharpish finish. Sustainable? Hah! Quinoa in the west means a disaster for South America where they cannot afford it anymore. And why a gren bottle again? Pours clear orange with a lasting, small, frothy, white head; little lacing. The aroma contains unripe orange & banana, yellow apple, grassy hops, flowers, citrus, soap, bready malt, yeast. It taste medium to heavy fruit sweet, hint of honey, banana, even perfume, and light hoppy bitter, a bit yeasty & spicy. Dry, flowery hop finish with lingering yeast & bread, dash of warming alcohol. Medium body, slick/creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Enjoyable, albeit on the sweet side.

One of several light - lager-mimicking - organic ales by this new, active brewery, bottle from Fontana in Sint-Niklaas. Opens with quite a lot of pressure under the crown cap, smoke coming out of the bottle neck. Very thick, foamy, egg-white, very moussy, big lacing head remaining closed for a long time, sustained by fierce sparkling in a warm, pure golden blonde beer with vague greenish tinge, clear but with a suspension of tiny yeast dots throughout, turning equally misty and a little bit deeper ochre-tinged with sediment. Aroma initially 'lightstruck' (cat pee-like mercaptans) as if it were a pale lager from a green or colourless bottle, but once this fades, less obnoxious impressions show up, including old white bread crust, grass and fresh green garden weeds, old dusty straw, dried grapefruit peel, green apple, cucumber peel, hints of unripe green plum, cold Chinese chrysanthemum tea, old paper, sawdust, plastic. Spritzy onset, lots of minerally carbonation yet not unpleasantly stinging, sweetish undertone but restrained in fruitiness, a note of green apple and unripe banana with a sourish accent reinforced by the lively carbonation; supple, vaguely glueish, plaster-like mouthfeel, pale malt sweetish body, white bread crust edge with a bit more breadiness in the finish due to the yeast. The finish is a bit plastic-y like a standard pale lager would be, but has a less unpleasant quality in the form of floral, bit leafy, subtly quinine-ish hop bitterness that lasts for quite a while. A tad fruitier, more bready and definitely much hoppier than the standardized industrial pale lagers this beer seeks to replace and in that sense preferable over those, but from a Belgian ale viewpoint, all but obsolete. Like the quinoa beer that was launched alongside this one (haven't had the others yet), this too deliberately tries to mimick pale lager - something I never got very excited about. Added points for the pleasant and confident hop bitterness in the finish, though.

33cl bottle on 16th May 2018, drank inside the Bier Paleis, Brugge. Light haze to my golden pour, decent white crown on top that hung around. Grainy, corn like aroma and taste, didn't really take to it.

Bottle in De Bierboom, Brugge on 14th May 2018. Decent white crown on a slightly hazed blond body.The nose carried some yeast esters alongside a mild fruitiness. Taste was again yeasty and fruity with a light citrus leaning, even though it was fairly sweet overall.

F: big, white, average retention. C: gold, hazy. A: malty, fruity, floral, bit orange, coriander, yeasty, peach. T: malty, fruity, dusty, mild orange peels, coriander, bit yeasty, good drinkability, medium body and carbonation, good one, enjoyed, 33cl bottle from CHYL Café in Brussels.
