Bottle at Au Miroir, Markt Sq, Ypres, Thursday 9th October 2025 after a 917km drive from nr München yesterday and finished today. We walked the short walk from Urban Gardens Campsite. Pours gold with a little haze, mid sized white head, nice carbonation. Lovely nice yeastiness, crisp, light bitterness, fresh but with a lovely pleasant oomph.... There is a little spice and a little floral perfumey edge.

26/9/2025. Bottle bought at the St Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2025. As Martha Tripel (edit - otherwise known as Sexy Blond per brewers website so have aliased). Train beer home. Nice pour. Aroma is caramel, yeasty, ripe banana, banana boat, malt, a little perfumed. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, smooth, light foamy carbonation. Liked this. Good finish to the day.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with light head. Aromas of chocolate malts, mineral water, dark fruit and bready malts. Flavors of figs, copper, chocolate, a bit of Belgian yeast and a lot of chocolate malts. Hot finish. Pushing the style limits for a Quad with the chocolate flavors and very big bready malts, but also quite tasty.

Bottle from HoTM. It pours hazy deep cherry red with a thick and fluffy pink head. The aroma is sweet and perfumed, artificial cherry, candy, cherry drops/tunes, brown bread, jam, touch of caramel and boozy cherry liqueur. The taste is crisp, tart and tangy, then sweetens up, cherry candy, cherry drops, slightly medicinal character, touch of acidity, cherry cola, sticky, warming alcohol and damp grain with a drying, fruity finale. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. The tanginess just about saves it. Feels a bit too artificial/candy-like and less so a beer. I am glad for the abv to try and battle against the sweetness. I drank the bottle, but wouldn't come back for another.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness. It pours darkest brown with a rugged deep tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, much jammier than expected, raspberry jam thickly spread on toasted brown bread, jam rolly poly, banana split, toasted brown sugars, dried fruits, raisin, currant, fruit cake, cacao nibs, malt loaf and molasses. The taste is dry roasted malt upfront, bitter - sweet, burnt toast, charred, loads of dried fruits, raisin, currant, banana, banana bread, warming booze, snap of spice, touch of umami, marzipan bananas split, toasted brown bread and some coffee grounds with a warming finale. Fulsome body and fairly high, foamy carbonation. Didn't realise this was a 12%er, feels like it though! Pleasing boost ale.
