Description
Chapter Brewing is smashing its way through the canon of craft, creating beers inspired by the innovation and playfulness of the written word. At the brewery we dive into experimental works as well as having well-thumbed and ever-present favourites in our Library.

Distributing nationally from our base in Sutton Weaver, you’ll find Chapter beers in cask, keg and small-pack with each lending their own unique characteristics to the brew. Hosting not only incredible artwork from local artist Boneface, Chapter’s labels offer a reading suggestion in lieu of a food pairing which allows the drinker, if so inclined, to read the texts that influenced the beer.

So all that remains is the eternal question: mark your page or squeeze in one more Chapter?

Cask @ Cafe Beermoth, Manchester. Dark clear copper-amber with a creamy-smooth head. It has quite a striking red ale bitterness - gritty, metallic, somewhat dirty piney earthiness - perhaps an acquired taste although I didn't mind the unusual here.

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2023, day 5 - Hackney. Pours crystal clear deep honey-gold with a frothy, off-white head. Great stuff, moderate sweetness, good piney hops, citrus notes, nuts, earth. Medium bodied, slightly oily, with fine carbonation; great condition. Balanced finish, mild resin, toasted malts, pine, citrus. Excellent.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Light smooth palate, pretty dry, decent fine carbonation. Sweet dry dark malts, touch of candy chocolate. Cedar wood spice. Some caramel and blackberry. Light smoke and a little spice on the dry finish. Different! Lot going on here but it comes together well. Just a bit dry.

Keg draught at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Mid-gold and clear with a full off-white head. Lovely aroma with some white grapefruit and a hint of pineapple. Some lovely malt notes hiding behind. Sweet taste, very malt-led with gentle yet pervasive citrus hop. Light bitterness on the finish. Medium body, heavy carbonation. Nailed it.
