Description
Piglove comes from the Venezuelan expression 'cochino amor', which is used to describe a love for something that is so big, raw and passionate that it becomes filthy. For pigs it's mud, for us it's craft beer and brewing! There's nothing we enjoy more than getting messy in the brewery, working on new ideas.

Driven by a desire to try new things, we experiment by adding a sprinkle of eccentricity to everything we make.

We have a deep admiration for the heritage of craft brewing in the UK, particularly in Yorkshire. Coming from a different culture with roots based in far-away lands, we wanted to add a little of our own wanderlust into the mix too.

We make bold and fragrant beers by adding unusual, exotic ingredients from all over the world. We're always on the look out for fresh ingredients and new ideas to mix things up.

Half-pint, on tap at Piglove by the River. Patchy white surface, golden-orange body with a haze of wheat, rings of lace down the glass. Inviting hop fruity aromas, lightly spiced with a citric scent. Fresh taste of lemon and pineapple on a backbone of wheat, carefully spiced. Smooth wheat fruity ending. Pretty good. (Leeds 06.07.2022).

Keg at The Maltings, York. Pours clear golden with a white cap. Some ingredients that I've no clue about here. Tropical, juicy fruit vibes with a piney west coast type edge. Some bitter orange marmalade. Quite sweet with low to moderate bitterness. Never a NEIPA for me. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Wasn't bad at all but just not really as stated.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 28/02/21. Black with a decent tan covering that stays for the show. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, light spice trace, dusty hop tones, dried berry fruits, light oak tones. Taste comprises dark malts, molasses, orange peel, light herb, cacao nibs, trace of spice, mellow roast, dried fruits. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a balanced spike of alcohol. Decent flavoursome impy affair.
