Description
Wij Gentenaren vertonen vaak dezelfde karaktertrek. We hebben grote sociale dorst. Want we kunnen niet zonder onze stad. Niet zonder onze vrienden. En niet zonder een leutige verfrissing. En dan? Dan gaan we voor een Artevelde.

Bottle, 8%. Good fruity aroma with hay, yeast, fermented sugar. Shiny golden colour, seems almost clear. Good stable white head. The flavour is yeasty and peppery with some fermented sugar sourness. Dry finish, not fruity. Yeasty finish with a mild alcohol burn. To me, the type of less interesting tripel, dry, light and alcoholic.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Mr. Hop.
Clear golden with a white head. Malty yeasty aroma. Sweet taste with a medium bitter finish. Not bad but not really good, either. Standard Belgian Tripel.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours lightly hazed yellow gold with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Aromas of light malt, light spice, light floral hops. Taste is more of the same. Unchallenging but fine.

From bottle at Remko's bierproefavond. Didn't take notes, enjoyed nice beers and good company. What I do remember: Malty, yeasty, some fruity esters, herbal, too much carbonation.

0.33 l bottle from 'Mr. Hop', best before November 2026. Slightly hazy, golden with a large, foamy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, gently yeasty-spicy, slightly fruity and quite boozy aroma of white grapes, honey, vanilla, skunk and some clove. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, slightly fruity-floral, quite yeasty-spicy and a bit boozy taste of grains, straw, vanilla, white grapes, rice, skunk and alcohol, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, quite boozy finish. Medium to full body, rather effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Way too boozy, somewhat stale, other than that not very aromatic. Poor.

Misted gold with a decent head. Ripe apples & pears, pale malt, spicey yeast, grassy hop. A decent tripel without real personality.
