Tolles Ale!

Intense is a good term here. Lots of red currant but also plenty of honey. Thick and sweet, drying.

Bourbon, woody. Sweetness that’s not overwhelmingly honeyed. Nuts and touch of dried fruit

375ml bottle. Pours a deep dark hazed reddish colour, off-white head. Inviting aroma of oak, cider barn, berry mush. Flavour profile presents a good oak barrel cloak, medium bodied with myriad red berries, light tannic close with a wild almost gueuze like sour complexity. Interesting, decent.

First time I see a mead with a wooden top cork, was a bit of a surprise with the corkscrew. Drinks like a fun liquor, grape concentrate, warm tannic port notes. Never had either white port or vincotto original but this is nice. Perfect for winter.
