Bottle split at L42, many thanks to Fergoose, 23/01/17. Clear golden amber with a decent off white cap. Nose is yeast esters, straw, grains, bready notes, citric peel. Taste comprises orange peel, white pepper, spices, grain husks, yeast esters, lemon rind. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Average fayre a bit musty and dusty .... not doing a lot for me.

Bottle at level 42. It pours hazy orange - amber with a small white head. The aroma is ripe apricot, persimmon, tangy, tart, sherbet, meaty, bready and some smoked cheddar. The taste is dry, sweet, sticky, sugary, smoked cheddar, meaty, hay, pear, apple, candy and earth with a dry, sweet finish. Medium body and moderate foamy carbonation. Too sweet and meaty. Not a fan.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Fergus. Pours clear honey-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds biscuits, crispy hay, cereal, pale bread. Light-medium sweet flavour with doughy bread, tangerine meringue, mild bitter hay, dough. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet and bready in the finish, with ain’t caramel, more doughy bread, ripening citrus. Basic but enjoyable.

Bottle. Cloudy white, big white lace. Medium light straw malt base, fairly hoppy - nice flowery notes. Some partially dead minerally yeast notes, otherwise fairly attenuated. Nice cloudy summer pale ale or hoppy wit, not a Kölsch though.

375 ml. bottle sampled @ Vini Birre Ribelli 2016. 2016 Vintage. Paler amber orange with no head. Nose is strangely sour, very harsh going to nail polish, vinegar, wine, glue, almost chemical sour. Taste is good, is sour oak wine, puckering, vinegar, acidic vinegar cherries, wine vinegar, crazily puckering sour, huge wood, vinegar. Thinned out body, vinegar, acidic, vinegar grapes. Great huge oak, vinegar oak taste, balsamic, very nice but stupidly sour as well.

Bottle. Light tropical fruitiness, clear but not overpowered, floral. Medium body in decent balance of lovely carbonation, residual sweetness, some bitterness. Palate is zesty and fruity. Classic and nice.
