Thx! for sharing. Sampled draft @ Borefts 2015. Day 2. Hazy citrus, small white. Nose is hugely mineral, mineral sour, big lactic sourness. Taste is mineral, salty, a bit empty other than that, puckering,.. Body is light. A bit excessive on mineral salt but there isn’t much else to it other than that. Fun enough but not really impressive.

Thx! for sharing. Sampled draft @ Borefts 2015. Day 2. Hazy citrus, solid white head. Nose is lemon hops, also a bit sweetish, light grass, sweet lemon. Taste is weeds, too much yeast, sweet citrus peel, grass, odd weeds. Overly yeasty. Doesn’t entirely work.

Thx! for sharing. Sampled draft @ Borefts 2015. Day 2. Dark brown, little mocha head. Nose is sweet floral, coffee, hay, sugar, weed, chocolate, grains. Taste is sweet candy, light weeds, bitter flowers (yarrow I suppose, I have taste yarrow only once I think), werid bitter flowers, hay mixed with coffee, chocolate. Creamy malt & sugary body. Very unique, bit hard to describe, very nice, wonderful & special beer. Absolutely great.

Thx! for sharing. Sampled draft @ Borefts 2015. Day 2. Hazy golden. Nose is sweet citrus, oily flowers, bread, hops, hard to describe. Taste is citrus, weird bitter flowers, light anise, floral, weird herbs, light lemon, caraway I suppose, weird flowers, oily hops. Oily, very easy to drink. I quite like, very interesting, easy to drink but I find it very hard to describe this one, plenty of tastes which I cannot really pin point which is pretty great. Very nice beer.

Gose from this Latvian craft brewery, sampled at Borefts. Almost no head, just some off-white, loose bubbles on the edge, colour a cloudy ’dirty’ yellow blonde with greenish hue. Aroma of sour cream, some Sauerkraut, unripe gooseberry, sour crabapple, white bread. Fruity taste with yoghurt-like lactic tartness, salty edge lending it a Gose-ish Sauerkraut effect but gently so - the lactic sourness is stronger than the saltiness (fortunately). Wheaty, soapy, bready middle phase, lean mouthfeel, dryingly tart finish. Juicy and appetizing, an interesting beer from a country which has only just begun to develop a craft beer culture.
