Shortlived whitish head over (cold)hazed orange-golden beer. Touch of horseblanket, lemon, lemonrind, Brettanomyces; fruity, even spicy. Sweet in the flavour, spicy, say oriental spices. Nose stands perpendicular on the taste. The wild yeasts are still obvious. Co-tasteer speaks of mixed fermentation, rather than pure spontaneous. Light body, faint acidthinning, medium carbonation. Very interesting beer, in any case. Purchased from Beer in a Box, Alkmaar

Small off-white head, over unclear amberish golden beer. Caramel, even toffee; bit preserved orangepeel, even liqueurish. Bitterish flavour, bit resiny, again preserved orangepeel, resins. Something as from vegetable peelings, husks, dry leaves. Medium bodied at least, oily feel, good carbonation. Apparently packed with C-hops, reading the blurb, but they come out crude, unrefined. And I get the impression that Labietes again added herbs they plucked from the roadside. Purchased @ Beer in a Box, Alkmaar.

Small yellowish head over hazy orange beer. Sharp pharmaceutical nose - the yarrow and St John's wort, I suppose - and some not-quite-pale malts. Tart, overly herbal - pharmaceutical. Sharp flavour from the herbs. There's a bit unripe banana as well. Medium bodied, slick, well-carbonated. Sorry guys, but for me this is something from a brown bottle on a pharmacists' shelf. Good for the heart, not for the tongue. Purchased from Beer in a Box, Alkmaar.

Medium yellowish head, stable over hazy ochre-amber beer. Floral and fruity-estery nose, delicate. Grapefruit, passion fruit, lunaria, bit of caramel. Bitter, as in spicy or citruspeel. Grapefruitpeel, limepeel, pomelo. Woody as well. Finish has a bit smokiness. Leafy, earthy, and bitter grapes. Light body, mild carbonation, bit (hopoil)slick. Pretty good - even if its "west coast" claim is stretching it (or are they talking Baltic sea?) Purchased from Beer in a Box, Alkmaar.

Small white bubbles' rim over hazy ochre to light-brown beer. Solvent, animal hide, musk, other grains, tobacco, pungent. And a cheesy spice - the caraway. Bit peppery, spicy - maybe some coriander? Very estery, fusels' flavours. Spices, but I'm unsure about the caraway. Again other grains, fusels. Medium bodied, very light alcoholwarming. I'm a bit confused - caraway having a very characteristic sparadrap/band aid-like flavour that is absent here. I even compared it in situ with actual caraway seeds. IMO, it sits a tad awkward with the 'Belgian' yeast. Purchased from Beer in a Box, Alkmaar.
