Bottle from Dobbies garden centre Ashford and drunk at home. Dobbies has an inexplicable Scottish beer distribution. Must have been a dozen rates for me. But nothing highly rated. Hazy deep amber colour lasting beige head. Hoppy as i poured it. Hop and toffee on aroma. Toffee malty in the mouth. Nowt wrong with it though. It’s a toffee malty bitter. Some bitterness on the finish. Well i thought a decent toffee hoppy bitter. Decent. Not exciting but drinkable enough to have more than one if you were down the pub.

Bottle from Great Grog. It pours cloudy amber with a thick, fluffy off-white head. The aroma is funky, musty, chai latte, lemon peel and tart green apple. The taste is dry, funky, musty, damp leaves, earthy, dry wood, sweet - sour, chai latte, cinnamon stick, clove, creaminess and some alcohol with a dry, woody finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A bit weird... I’m not sure the balance of this one works out. Unique that’s for sure.
