Description
Speyside Brewery is based in Moray Speyside, the heart of Scotland's malt whisky country. More than 50 distilleries are within a 30-mile radius of the brewery, using the same water for their iconic whiskies that we use to make our beer.
Founded by chemistry student Seb Jones in November 2012, the brewery produces a varied core range of beers - named after local
icons - as well as popular seasonal beers. We are proud to make them.
Brewery closed in 2020. Relaunched in Summer 2023 with a different beer lineup.

On keg at Ox184. Appearance - deep cloudy amber. Slight head. Nose - ginger biscuits with a sour undernote. Taste - apple vinegar with a clove spice. There’s a smoky tea edge to it but the sour apple note are prevalent. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - the more sours I have the more sours I like.

Bottle from the Co-Op, Nairn. Dark brown body with a thin beige head. Patchy lacing. Aroma of charred wood, plum and coffee. Flavour of plum, raisin and treacle. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. The ABV and body is light but there’s good depth of flavour here.
