Can from BrewDog Inverurie. It pours ever so slightly hazy golden - yellow with a bubbly white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, zingy, zippy, grapefruit, pomelo, piney, touch tropical, melon, star fruit and lychee. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, pleasing bitterness, green, piney, freshly cut grass, herbal, pithy, zesty, grapefruit, pomelo, some florals and light mineraly vibes with a dry finish. Average body and and fine, prickly carbonation. Rather nice stuff. Bright and crisp. Moreish.

Toasted and ashy charred malty, notes of burnt and light smoked malt, just some vague fruity undertones, medium body, how is this a witbier.

Can from Marshall's Farm Shop, Aberdeenshire. It pours pretty much black with a bubbly yellowy - beige head. The aroma is sweet, vanilla, minty, coconut, bounty bar, chocolate, toothy, fruit cake, dark roasted malt, chocolate brownie, cookie dough and a touch of coffee. The taste is firmly dry, bitter - sweet, dark roasted malt, coffee grounds, cacao nibs, minty, dark chocolate, jammy, dark and dried fruits, some warming booze, pleasing whisky character throughout, burnt toast, liquorice allsorts, whisky fudge and vanilla, with a warming, fruity whisky finish. Medium+ body and average carbonation. Tasty stuff. Impressed this works so well with a modest abv. Enjoyable stuff.
