Cask at Ealing Beer Fest 25. Aroma has sweetness and cacao with a boozy streak. Dark. Inky.. witha slight opaque element. Thin foamy beige head. The initial impression is booze followed by creamy coconut and a bitter coffee edge. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. OK.
Oh baby! Everything I like about old-school ipas. Piney, dry, bitter. Class.

Deadication beer to Giuseppe Garibaldi, the Italian general with a biscuit named after him was born on this day. The macaroon is a biscuit too, although not too impactful here, leaving quite a good-looking and smooth regular stout.
