Sheffield CAMRA Beer Festival 2025, Beer#16. Keg bar. Black ale. The parkin element is obvious, somewhat cake-like, overbearing through a grittiness to be sessionable, but appealing enough on its own. This is a crisp keg pour example so quite appealing. Sweet nose.

(Cask at Pikkulintu Ruttopuisto, 20251015) The beer poured clear and almost black. Its head was medium sized nearly white. Aroma had pine, burnt malts and smoke. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, pine, grass, smoke, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste had ash, light sweetness and bitterness. A little bit too burnt for a Black IPA. Otherwise good.
