Description
An independent brewery founded in 1996 and employee owned since 2024, we like to think that we blend creativity and innovation with heritage and tradition, reflecting these values across our beers. Our house style could typically be described as pale and hoppy, but that’s not all we can do! As the beer world has evolved so have we, covering a wide range of styles and continually pushing the boundaries of what we can create.

Can. Mitchell’s Wines. Nearly black. Nicely thick soppy lasting beige foam. Nose has sweet pudding although I’m not convinced cloves, of which this has plenty, is any part of a sticky toffee pudding. Whatever. It’s a bit overwhelming. Taste is fairly sweet with a decent amount of vine fruit and roast malt bitterness. Drinks well, barring the clove thing. Light bitter finish.

Can. Mitchell’s Wines, I think. Clear very dark brown. Thick and soppy lasting semi lacing pale tan foam. Looks boss. Nose has Biscoff biscuit but it’s nicely understated and not too sickly as it could have been. Decent lightly fruity ashy malt notes. Taste is fairly sweet up front with a light vinous roast malt bitterness. Smooth with good depth of flavour. Light bitter finish. Best Abbeydale bev in a good while.
