Bottle thanks to Tom at work, shared with the Mrs. Pours black with a thin tan head. Lots of chocolate on the aroma, faint red fruit. Taste is rich, chocolate and coffee. Not getting much from the barrel, wonder how long it was in there... Nice impy stout though. Dries out on the finish.

Cask @ Sportsman, Huddersfield. Golden with a thick frothy head. Has a light hoppy character with a lingering dryness and some toffee in its nose.

Keg at brewdog Edinburgh. Pours hazy orange, nose is herbal, toffee, light fruit, taste is sweet pineapple, juicy, herbal.

On tap at Port Street, Manchester, Thursday 30th March 2017 Pours black with a creamy textured light beige head. Coffee, lots of, it’s sweet but actually fairly easy supping . Nice thick mouthfeel, cappuccino, it’s nice, simple. A8 A4 T6 P4 Ov14 3.6

Keg at Tall Boys Beer Market, Thornton’s Arcade, Leeds, Yorkshire. A black coloured pour with a healthy beige head on top. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate and caramel. Tastes quite sweet, chocolate, vanilla, some caramel too. Nice stout but a little too sweet for me.

Keg at Andrew Usher’s. Black body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, peanut shell and chocolate. Flavour of nuts and coffee. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Creamy and flavoursome.
