Keg at Andrew Usher’s. Hazy amber body with a thin off-white head. No lacing. Aroma of pine needles and sour cherries. Flavour of bitter marmalade, orange peel, Earl Grey tea and a hint of soy sauce. Thin to medium body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Weird and harsh...

Keg at Mother Kelly’s - Bethnal Green. Pours lightly hazy gold with a creamy, white head, the nose has some pithy citrus, tangerine rind, minerals. Light sweet flavour with dry pale malts, pithy tangerine and grapefruit, mellow piney bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Decent balance on the finish, more pithy and rindy citrus. Basic but fine and drinkable.

Keg at Mother Kelly’s - Bethnal Green. Pours rich brown with a creamy, tan head. The aroma holds ripe and jammy berries, toffee, bready malts. Light-medium sweet flavour with more brown bread, jammy berries, raisins and prunes, toasted toffee. Light in body with fine carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, with more well toasted toffee, dried berries, toasty-bready malts. Rather enjoyable.

Mother Kelly’s. Keg. Very hazy yellow - gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has decent carbonation. Light thin malts, mild sweetness. Spicy start to the hops. Some dry seltzer - sherbet in the background. Pine. Nice generic tropical fruits, not mando dominant. Touch of orange. Smooth hop spicy finish. Very nice.
