Ārpus Brewing Co.
Microbrewery

Associated Venue: FTD Pizza x Ārpus Taproom
- Out of business
Established in 2017
We chose Latvian word Ārpus for the name of our brewery, as its meaning reflects the types of beers we brew - outside the box, beyond the mass made lagers, beers with overwhelming flavours and aromas for people brave enough to step out of their comfort zone.
The brewery is located just outside Riga (Latvia), equipped with a 10hL brewhouse and 20hL fermentation vessels. Our beer is packaged in 440mL cans and KeyKegs, then stored in a cold room to keep it fresh longer.
Merci Alëna P. & Sergey Y.

Can at Drinkoteka, huge thx Filip I think! Murky orange body, off-white head. Dried apricots and apricots in the aroma, whoa. Sweet apricots in the taste, dried apricots, quite prickly carbonation, solid sourness. Eh, the currant one is miles ahead when it comes to balance.

Can at Drinkoteka, enormous thanks Ivan! Murky purple-pink body, pinkish head. Pleasant berry presence in the clean aroma, currants mixing well. Tart, fresh taste, clean most importantly (within style constraints), good berry presence as well, lean and dry. Well what do you know? Arpus can make a very nice clean, drinkable, simple tasty sour!

Canned 440ml. -at Goblet Zagreb. Hazy pale yellow coloured, medium sized white head, citrusy and light floral nose. Sweet malty, fruity, not much of citrus and light floral with sweetish finish. Ok one but nothing more than that.

Tap at Drinkoteka, thx BLR Ivan! Murky pink body, pinkish head. Sour yoghurty strawberry aroma, bit yeasty. Yeasty, earthy sour strawberry yoghurt taste... nah... not particularly tasty in my book. Kinda see what they were aiming for but didn't work for me.

Can. A mild to medium haze on this gold beer, small and short lived pale cream colour head. Airy palate, smooth, a very mild dryness, decent fine minerally carbonation. Mellow smooth pale malts, a ripe creamy sweetness. Soft cooling pine. Fairly ripe stone fruits. A modest citrus, also fairly ripe. Light and semi dry finish. It's alright, if a tad ripe.

Can. A mild to medium haze on this orange gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Fairly smooth palate, decent fine carbonation on the back end. Smooth light pale malts, a very nice light creamy sweetness. Superdelic hops do what they do and they do them well here. Soft pine. Candy fruits, fairly rich and well rounded berry fruits. Mango tinted tangy stone fruits. Mild hop spice. We do live in age of wondrous hops. Nice single hop showcase.
