Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear amber color, average sized beige head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, unfresh, old hops, slightly butter. Taste malts, butter, slightly bitter, old hops. Not very nice. Didn’t finish my glass. Disappointing.

Sampled draft @ Tilburgs Bierfestival 2015. Dark brown, lighter mocha, creamy head. Nose is very syrupy, lightly metallic, heavy syrup, liquorish, dark fruit,… Taste is lightly metallic big plastic molasses, quite syrupy, heavy artificial syrup character with spirit, prunes,… Artificial body,… A bit odd but def. not entirely bad. Dark brown with creamy head. Very full flavoured. Initially a sweet malty taste but there’s a certain bitterness in the aftertaste. Complexity of a Barley Wine but in an easy to drink form.

Very dark looking. Aroma and flavour feature dark malts and caramel. Smooth texture.

helder amber/rood met schuimige kraag, en ik moet toegeven het ziet er prachtig uit. Aroma is daarentegen weer een dooddoener, enorm beperkt, wat caramel en mouten. smaken zijn behoorlijk aan de hopbittere kant, bruine suiker, caramel, gekookte groente, ijzer, zacht en glad, medium body, als er toch zoveel hop in zit dan de volgende keer er ook maar wat aroma hoppen bijvoegen...

Bottle @ benzai. Clear amber to ruby colour eith a large white head. Smells iron, malts, herbs, fresh. Tastes sweet, malts, herbs, slightly roasty, slightly liquorice. Medium body, soft carbo.

fles bij wijnhandel Wielinga vandaan, amber met witte kraag. aardig flesje om idd zo eens weg te geven, Aroma van caramel, iets geroosterds mouten. 33cl bottle from Mitra Groningen. Thin creamy off white head. Clear deep burgundy pour. Nice smooth coffee taste. Nicely done.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Eanske Donkere Dagen ].[ Trade by Beerhunter111 ]. ABV: 7.5%. Clear dark dark red brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, toffee. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted bitter, toffee. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141223]
