10 ounce at the brewery - first of all, I fucking love Thump coffee at the beans they used in this are what I always get for my cappuccino when I go there - so I am a little bias here - the coffee is very apparent/strong, but unlike a lot of beers with such strong coffee, there is not an abrasive acidity or too strong a roastiness, so robust coffee flavor with a relative smoothness overall - the light smoke, vanilla, and berry from the base beer work well with th strong coffee - I like it very much.

Tulip at the brewery - first of all, I really appreciate that they are going for a no-nonsense, session saison - this is not the greatest example, but man is it refreshing give all the shitty "saisons" being brewed in Denver - turbid gold pour - nose is herbal, very mostly musky, highly citric, mildly dusty and rustic - subtle but complex - flavor is similar - when cold, it’s a little dull, but once it wakes ever so slightly it really opens up - nice froth to the texture - moderate bitterness and a quenching acidity - flavors of lemon, hay, rustic graininess, lightly dusty yeast and a subtle yeast bugginess way in the background - crisp, lightly acidic finish.

Taster at the brewery - well-executed sweet stout with more heft and warmth than one might expect from the abv - notes of dark chocolate, espresso, light smoke, vanilla, and mild spiciness - bittersweet finish - not overly roasty or astringent - good.

Taster at the brewery - thank goodness this is not another overly sour or adjunct-laden version of the style like most other breweries in town make - this is not quite as good as the wild-fermented one Former Future makes, but it is closer to a traditional German example than I’ve had anywhere in town - lightly tart, mild saltiness, faint hints of herbs - light mineral finish - refreshing and subtle without being bland - nicely done.

Taster at the brewery - turbid orange pour - muddled, muted nose of mango and peaches - flavor is similar - muddy, with nothing that really pops out - some tropical character, moderate sweetness, very subtle background huskiness - lacks the brightness and vibrancy I’d like from an IPA or session IPA.

Taster at the brewery - mostly clear light gold - nose has fairly potent citrus and well as some grassiness and a biscuity malt character - texture is creamy from the addition of oats, but it is still fairly dry and crisp - clean, lean maltiness allows the hop flavors to be showcased well - starts herbal and citric and finishes spicy and peppery - moderate bitterness - I would drink the shit out of this in the summer - unfortunately, there is currently snow on the ground.
