Thick creamy white head stayed on an unclear sandy coloured body. Malt, hops & grape aroma. Medium bodied, soft over the tongue & sharp on the back with a clean aft. Hopped up tastes with grapefruit, underripe peach, zest & long bitter finish.

Bottle from Waitrose. Amber in colour, with a thin, white, head. Aroma of marmalade, leafy hops and some white pepper. Flavour was sweet, with plenty more orange fruit, solid malts and a dryish finish. Fine.

Keg at Brewdog Reading. Pale gold with a thin white head. Light pine and grassy notes, and a wispy hint of grape. Oddly salty. Thin body. A bit anaemic through and through. I mean, yes it's drinkable, but it's also utterly forgettable. Poor compared to the Brewdog Live Dead Pony Club I pitted it against. Surprised it's got such high ratings on here.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Clear amber beer, a few cream colour bubbles. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, very mild carbonation. Soft malts bring a nice light caramel. Good ripe orange peel and sweetish marmalade. Smooth whiskey and whiskey soaked fruits. More citrus peel on the finish. Very barrel and a little flat but goes down well.
