Description
Odyssey is a small family run brewery established in the rural surrounds of a National Trust estate in Herefordshire in 2014. We brew in a building that is at least 400 years old but our beers are modern and forward looking.

Because we are small, independent and committed to staying that way, we focus primarily on only two styles of beer - hop forward (of any colour) and big, indulgent stouts, with the occasional Barley Wine thrown in for good measure. Our hoppy beers are unfined and hazy but we seek to retain some bitterness and drinkability - East Coast brews with a West Coast vibe.

All of our beer is produced for keg or can.

10/12/2022. Can shared with ITFCDan. From CentrAle, Newcastle. Opened with a gush. Pours black with a small frothy beige head. Aroma is boozy, chocolate, light roasted malt, cocoa, touch of liquorice. Medium sweetness, light to moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, creamy, average to soft carbonation. Bitter cocoa finish. Quite enjoyable.

10/12/2022. Can shared with ITFCDan. From CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours black with a small frothy tan coloured head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, smoked malt, light milky cocoa, dark fruits. Moderate to medium sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Quite full bodied, a little slick, average to soft carbonation. Boozy chocolate finish. Enjoyable, and for me just edged out the Cocoa version.
