Description
When we started this company, our goal was to keep it as straightforward as possible: to craft flavors and experiences that the people of Maine hadn’t had before, and serve them as fresh as possible. Over the years, as the business has grown, we are now able to share our beers with people in other areas – regionally, nationally, and internationally – but Maine always comes first. We strive to take care of those things closest to us, and let that radiate outward: our staff, our processes for making beer, our tap rooms and loyal customers, and the surrounding communities that support us. Everything we do is in support of these things, we are nothing without them.

Hoppy and fruity, fairly sweet. A bit of grapefruit with orange and tropical fruit, smooth, nice.

500mL bottled April 2024, drunk 9/17/25.
Dark, inky, viscous, clear. Small, dark tan head.
Big, bold, vinous raisin, plum notes mixing with rich, sweet bourbon. I checked this bottle twice to confirm it was not Port Barrel-aged, as it REALLY smells and tastes like port (sweet, candyish grape). I guess it's just a really rich, sweet bourbon or rye? That and maybe some malt character contributing to all of this sweet plum-raisin-grape. Rich, thick, chewy, almost syrupy texture is satisfying, and it's not too sweet, nor is it boozey at all. Maybe a bit too much on the grapey/port character, as that gets a bit tiresome by the end of the bottle, but otherwise this is stellar stuff.

dark brown to black, baeautiful brown head with whiter areas.
aroma is roasted malts, fainter smoked malts, wood, charred wood, hard roasted malts. not sweet at all but still velvety , well blended and non-burnt. super fine aroma. also finer notes similar to espresso coffee, dark chocolate.
flavor is sweet from the bourbon, roasted malts, oak, licorice, faint coffee like note, end is roasted malty and slightly charred woody, far far end is dark caramelly, more wood, hints of bourbon.
pretty solid flavor. A great imp. porter and not at all pastry - old scool, and well done at that.

Smooth, spicy and roasty with some chili, cinnamon, vanilla, hints of oakiness and barrel. Okay, quite similar to Prairie Bomb.

Bottle pour. Sweet, boozy, medium body. Malty, cinnamon, cocoa powder, some noticeable chili heat, vanilla in the finish. Decent flavors but a bit unbalanced, nice.
