500ml bottle from Alko. BBE 1/12/17. Pours dark brown with a small head. Aroma of sherry, oak, coffee, roasty malts and hints of berries. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and ashy with some coffee, oak, wood, hints of sherry and tartish lingonberries. Finish is roasty, sweetish and slightly ashy with loads of coffee and some hints of sherry and berries. Luckily the lingonberries are quite subtle here.

The smoke is strong as it should be for the light style. But it is extremely low in carbonation, the opposite of what the style is, and quite cloudy. Unique tasting, but not in a wonderful way, just okay. 2016 Advent calendar.

Bottle. Brown colour, minimal beige head. Aroma is quite much orange and caramel, a bit of spices, a bit of coffee. High sweetness, light bitterness. Ok.

Bottle - Smoked and cured meat with mustard. Clearish gold with a small white head. Smoked and a odd wheat note. Very odd.

Pale, has some thin head. The aroma is a bit smoky, has some sort of odd note, though. On the palate, has a bit more of that smokiness. Has not much malt, well, not enough to hold up the smokiness. A touch of fruitiness from the spruce.

Tasting at Matt’s
Hazy blond color, no head. Aroma of yogurt and delicate smoke, so weird. Weak body, dry mouthfeel; some cheesy yeast, and some smoke; mild astringency in the final.
Weird, but interesting, I could drink a glass or two of this with some food.

330mL bottle, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is very earthy and smoky, with lots of earthy twig notes and smoked malt. Flavour is bizarre, with lots of strange earthy notes, light smoked malt, and more weird earthiness. Bizarre as hell. Not bad, but nothing intriguing.

Bottle from some store at the corner of Zwierzyniecka nad Retoryka. Shared back at home with ogivlado, franski and kajser. BB 23/03/2017. Misty golden body, tiny to no white head. Stale honeyish malty aroma. Flat meaty taste, cardboard, no hop presence, vague vague grapefruit. Good pilsener under 1 Euro? This doesn’t qualify as a pilsener. Just about every macro crap I’ve had on this trip was better than this. I expected far more from this brewery.PS - Ogi didn’t finish his glass. That’s condemnation enough.
