My sample was 2 years old. Nut brown and thick. VERY malty, complex and well balanced. Great beer!

Amber colour, golden highlights, slight haze. Rich, cologne-like nose...a little more phenolic than it needs to be and a lot more phenolic than I remember it. The flavour is moderately bitter, a little woody, phenolic, with some malts in the background. Finish is dry and woody. Not the sublimely executed APA it once was.
