A light aroma of fruit and malt. Light amber color with a white head that was not huge. Starts fruity, like stone fruit, then orange develops. The cabonation is moderate and it is less than medium bodied. The malt sweetness is not harsh or roasted, but it is noticeable in the finish, where a light fruity bitter is also present. Very drinkable. It gets even tastier as consumption proceeds.

Strong caramel aroma. Maybe hop peaked through; or not. Copper color with a white head that rapidly filmed out, though it left hints of lace. Medium bodied. Pretty foamy. Starts a bit non-descript, but malt definitely shows up as the carbonation leaves. Which thins the body. Not really getting smokiness. Lightly hopped it is. Very. The finish is actually a bit dry, if you wait for the malt to drain away. It leaves a warm sensation in the tummy, but little, if any, bitter in the mouth. Sort of a standard alcohol scotch style, with perhaps standard malt, but it just seems a bit bland (to plagiarize from puzzl).

Bottle: Pours an immensely dark brown with a large brown head. Thick lacing. Nose is strong of coffee, heavy roast, and chocolate. Hints of bitters. Taste rich of heavy roast, cocoa, coffee, and finishes dry with a lingering coffee/bitters kick. Good, but a little drier than I prefer in a stout takes a bit off the overall rating. Still very good.

Hazy blonde. Fruity (pear, apple) nose with light maltiness. Thick, syrupy body. Has a hint of herbal hoppiness (sage). Decent brew, perhaps a shade clean - more like Lucifer than a tripel.

Bottle. Amber beer with a light tan head. Nice light estery aroma with some yeasty spice. Some bubblegun and cotton candy flavor, but isn’t too sweet - nicely balanced with spice, earth, and yeast. Finishes with fruit (grapefruit and light plum/berry). Fairly dry. Hops definately present, but alcohol well hidden. Surprisingly good.

Blacker than sin, with a lovely thick cafe au lait coloured head. Aroma of malt, chocolate and smoke. Malty flavour with notes of chocolate, coffee and hops. Nice dry finish that still lasted. It had the complexity of imperial stout without the alcohol befuddling power. This may be the best stout I have ever tasted in my life. It certaily is my first 5.

An older rating I obviously forgot to add. Good faint malt nose. Malt taste with massive hops, but still well balanced. Lasting finish. Great lace
