500 ML bottle. Pours dark with a smallish head. Aroma is malt with a good sweet dirt flavor. Pretty easy going and sessionable despite the 6.6

Quite a balanced dipa. Lots of sweet caramel malts, and a good dose of grapefruit, and pine hops. Im very impressed by thenbalance. The bitterness is not over the top, a pretty easy drinking dipa.

650ml from mgermani, THANKS!!!! nice dark ruby brown color, nice beige head, good retention, very nice lacing on the glass. aroma is alot of hops, some chocolate, malt, and a nice smokiness, almost sausage like. I know that sounds weird, but it works for me. Mouthfeel is smooth, not much carbonation though. Flavour is still quite hoppy, but finishes sweet. very very nice beer, I wish i could get this all the time!

Old rating from 2002 - Pint from the tap at the brewpub. Pours dark amber with a off white head. Aromas & tastes of citrus, flora, nuts, honey, biscuit, hops & malt. Medium body. Light bitter finish

Tap at Fremont Brewing. Really nice and fresh with solid hop flavor. Clear light gold with off white head.

4oz pour at Fremont. Pours clear gold with a white head. Aroma is doughy, with some pine underneath. Flavour has a malty base with pine and doughy malts. Not bad.

Draft pour pint at Route 2, Monroe. Shocked that this absolute classic local IPA has slipped from my rating log. Also, I miss when all the good beers were in the bomber section at the store. Clean and shiny golden pour. Thick one finger of mousse foam head. Aggressively bitter pine, mostly on flavor, but a little comes through on aroma as well paired with a floral note. Biting linger. Wonderfully classic Seattle IPA. Kinda glad I missed rating it before. I can enjoy a bit of a flashback to some beers that were around when I first started keeping track. Very enjoyable brew.

Draft pour pint at Salty's, SeaTac. Clean and shiny golden appearance. Patchy head. More or less a standard pils, with a nice crisp constant. Cool grassy notes, and a slight corny pils grain nose. Cracker grain flavors last, and a grassy palate provides the slightest hint of bitterness. Crisp and refreshing, so its a good pilsner, and solid pre flight choice if you want to drop 40 bucks on 3 pints before take off.
