330ml bottle. Cloudy, amber colour with average to huge, frothy to macropore, diminishing, off-white head. Mellow malty, yeasty fruity and slightly leafy, fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of red berries, frozen strawberry, some caramel. Taste is mellow malty, yeasty fruity and mildly bitter, leafy hoppy, hints of red berries, frozen strawberry, a fruit acidic touch. Watery texture, slightly dry and minimally astringent palate, coarse, lively carbonation. Nice composition, sadly quite overcarbonated - OK.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, brown-ish, dark ruby colour with average, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Mellow, caramel malty and minimally sugary aroma, hints of malt lozenge, a touch of red fruit, plum, bready undertones. Taste is mellow, caramel malty, slightly bitter roasty, minimally fruity, hints of caramel, red fruit, a touch of burnt caramel, some hop bitterness. Minimally oily, watery texture, minimally dry, simultaneously minimally greasy palate, medium, prickly carbonation. More Amber Lager than Zwickel for me, nice fruitiness, minimally unpleasant touch of burnt caramel - OK.

Clear reddish brown beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of caramelized red malt, some red fruits. Taste of reddish malt, red fruits, caramel, raisins, mild bitterness.

Fläschla: Deep golden, almost copper coloured, hazy, small but stable off-white foamy layer, distinctive herbal-fruity hoppy nose with a rural-malty background; moderate to solid dryish bitter and mildly sweet flavour, pretty light bodied for a Bier of 5.4%; lingering slim fruity-hoppy and mildly malty finish. Malzschmied Floßmeister, Fläschchen vom Teeladen Naturliebe, Stadtsteinach. - Helles Goldbraun, fast klar. - In der Nase zart brotig-karamelliges Malz und hintergründige mediterran-herbale Hopfung. - Antrunk fein hopfenherb aber von eigenartiger Aromatik: klassisch herbal-hopfenwürzig, leicht mediterran, Mandarine, zarte Kühle von Menthol und unpassende Holunderaromen. Zart nussiges Malz, Vanille. Milder rezent, schlank & weich. Im Abgang gedämpfte herbale Bittere. - Wieder mal ein Pilsener aus einer Craftbeer-Schmiede, das mit einem klassischen Pilsener nur wenig Ähnlichkeiten hat. Ist das nun überbordender Drang, etwas Neues zu schaffen, oder bloß Unfähigkeit, diese oft unterschätzte Biersorte zu reproduzieren? (5.9.2021.)
