440ml can. Quasi black colour with small to average, dense, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, dark beige to tan head. Smoky, woody and roasty, dark malty, minimally caramel malty aroma, notes of smoked wood, barbecue sauce, dark chocolate, some oak, a touch of wood ashes, caramel, also a touch of leather, pumpernickel, whiffs of peat. Taste is smoky, slightly peaty, roasty, dark malty, minimally caramel malty with subtle residual sweetness, hints of smoked wood, barbecue sauce, a touch of leather, pumpernickel. Oily-watery texture, smooth and minimally greasy, simultaneously slightly dry palate, fine, soft carbonation. Rich and intense, balanced and harmonious - good.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark plum/brown, with soapy whitish foam, irregular. Aroma is caramel and licorice, lots of licorice in the beginning. Latest on, more caramel. Body is only partially dense, with average carbonation. Taste is fairly sweet. Final is a little chewy, requiring some taste between sips, probably due to the level of alcohol.

Looks near black in the glass with a rather big, quite creamy off-white/greyish head. Shows very good retention and lots of lacing. Pretty good intensity in the aroma: strong chocolate and slightly less strong coffee notes among a soft, half nutty, half milk stout like feel. Perhaps quite simple but clean and pleasant. Taste notes follow the aroma closely. Again: good taste intensity, good definition, not much complexity. Well hidden alcohol, but able to deliver a warming sensation. Quite on the sweet side in the mouth, never too sweet and balanced by a dry enough finish with a decent amount of neutral hop bitterness. Quite dense in body (more or less what expected for the abv) with a relatively low but quite dense-feeling carbonation. Feels very soft and quite creamy. Overall a quite simple, moderately pastry, soft/approachable imperial stout. Pretty pleasant.
