Poured from can dated 3/26/18 Let's get weird....vibrant orange with a white head. Aroma is juicy citrus earthy grass and light pine. Pours a nice hazy gold from a tap with good lacing. Aroma is a light topical fruitiness. Flavor is similar but it sort of fades into a nice mango lassi at the finish. Smooth a little oily. Good beer.

Pours a slightly hazy, golden yellow, with smallish head. Aroma is grassy, lemony. Flavor is grassy, lemony, biscuity. Pretty good stuff all around.

Good clarity on this ruby-auburn beer with a small, dark beige head atop showing moderate retention.
Tons of bread crust, brown bread, dry caramel and light toffee give a very true impression of a small English barleywine. Throw in tons of fruity yeast and fruity malt with little/no hop character. No alcohol or flaw. Clean.
In the mouth it's chock-full of specialty malt. Caramel, bread and acidity from the malt, with red fruit, more bread, pretzel, heavy biscuit. The list goes on. Attenuation is very high as is the carbonation. Comes off slightly thin even and the heavy bread and dry malt character just exacerbates thing. Some fruity, juicy hops, more yeast character, softer base malt, more base malt sweetness. Needs at least one of those things....otherwise, it's clean and shows no alcohol.

Pours a very nice near black from a tap, thick khaki head with small bubbles lasts. Sweet roasty coffee and caramel aroma, similar flavor, very sweet. Full round mouthfeel as expected for an oatmeal stout. Pretty good beer.

Pigs Ear after party at Chez Smith. Thanks to Leighton for the can. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and has decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, thin creamy sweetness. Light pine. Spicy tinned mango and peach. Traces of orange and lemon. Light smooth dry finish. Unusual tinned fruit vibe but pretty drinkable.

Pours an opaque white grapefruit juice color from a tap, thick white head leaves lots of lacing. Aroma is tropical fruit, mango. A little pine in the mouth as well, sweet but watery. Good beer.

4 oz. draft at Extreme BeerFest, Boston, 3 Feb, 2018. Black color with no head. Aroma is red wine, bitter chocolate, slight sour, Bretty hints, dirty socks. I was reluctant to ty this because of the style. To me it tastes like this wasn’t intended. Massive red wine, sharp sour currents, old cherry skins with a very harsh pucker in the taste glands. Massive lactic acid. Damn, pretty ugly. First outright drain pour of EBF.
