Thin off white head soon disappeared leaving a jet black thin looking body. Pine, malt & dark chocolate aroma. Medium body, thinning to the back with a watery feel as it fades away. Spicy tastes of malt, pine, bitter pithy citrus, roast & coffee.

330ml bottle from an Edinburgh Aldi. Poured into a Gordon's thistle shaped glass at home on 26th Jan 2018. The beers colour is like crushed blackberry juice blended and watered down to a dirty, pale red, no head what so ever. Not enjoying the look to be honest, I haven't sniffed or tasted it yet! The aroma is light blackberry, the taste is like the look, a fruit juice. Oh dear, is the beer out of date? No 4 months left. This has been a big disappointment from start to finish, there is a slight saison 'farmhouse' feel to the brew, but it just doesn't do it for me at all.

Bottle from beerhive. Nose is intense berries, currant, Brett, lacto, Joghurt. Palate is fruity, but not as intense as I like it, a bit harsh Lacto in the finish. Berry sours are my favourite thing normally, this one is not as well executed.
