Tasting at ChrisO’s. Light haze on this amber beer. Little off white head. Creamy papery malt, sweetish. Dried fruits. Mild minerals. Dry finish. Not doing much for me.

33cl bottle thanks to a swap (Alasdair’s mate). It pours very cloudy and has a big frothy head - initially I’m actually thinking it looks more like a wheat beer. The nose the expected grapefruit. The taste has more grapefruit and more specifically grapefruit pith on the end. The palate is light to medium bodied with a creamy/tangy texture and a long bitter finish. Overall, the notes I’m getting are very one-dimensional but at least it’s a good dimension.

Bottle. Looking quite nice in the glass, with a small, off-white head leaving lacings, and an almost clear golden body. The aroma is fruity, with some pale malts, but quite weak and uninteresting. That goes for the flavor too, but at least there’s some bitterness chiming in. Short finish with fruityness and a touch of pale malts. A boring one indeed, but might go well with fish dishes as indicated by the commercial description. 130216
