500ml can from the brewery. Pours gold with a fine mist. Aroma of traditional apfelwein, crisp palate with moderate carbonation, traditional apfelwein character, light with moderate acidity, green apple skin, slight bitterness, simplistic but refreshing enough.

1 litre bottle (2021) from Possmann. Drunk in the first heatwave of the year, already setting new records. Clear pale gold pour. Clean, juicy with a breezy acidity and a gentle jonagold fruitiness, sweet characterful flesh, lightly caramelised, honey hints. Nice enough.

Süffiger, mild säuerlicher Beginn. Spritzig mit wässrigem Hintergrund, ein Hauch Karbonisierung ist vorhanden. Sehr leichte Herbe, trocken bleibend, natürlich apfelig. Gelungen. 8/10/9/7/8/8

330ml bottle from Barrel & Batch, St Peters. Bright golden colour, white foam head that dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of apple, fruit, pear. Taste is sweet appley, some core, wood, alittle pear, and mellow acidity. Medium bodied, light soft catbonation, medium finish. Quite drinkable.

25cl bottle from Kelterei Possmann, Frankfurt. Slightly unclear pale yellow appearance, spritzy bubbles. General impression is of a syrupy cremant / prosecco.. not something Possmanns are known for. A little slick on the palate.. babycham comes to mind.. generally ok
