Description
We are a family business (Ish and Al are E17 local residents and have a tiny human together).

We are picky about our people and our products. We are not any old drinks distributor.

Starting as a one-woman show, Al created the Real Al Company by selling cask beer to pubs. It was while journeying through London that she noticed an apple-shaped gap in the market.

“I must bring proper cider to the people!” she exclaimed to a dark and empty pub basement.

One dog, one baby and a wonderful team later – we’ve opened a taproom and delivered enough tasty craft ciders, perry and beer to fill the Thames.

Fra fat på Craft Beer Company: lys gyldenrød med fint skum. Epler og rabarbra i skjønn forening. Søtlig avslutning og den diskrete karboneringen understreker friskheten.

On tap at The Craft Beer Co - St Mary Axe, pours a hazy ros pink with a small white head. Aroma brings out sweet apples, some earthy rhubarb, and a touch of sweetness. Flavour is very sweet, with medium-high sweetness, sweet apples and a touch of rhubarb. Way too sweet but there's some nice elements. Not great.

26/1/2023. BIAB at the 14th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Pours very slightly hazy pale golden with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is heavily spiced, apple, nutmeg, cinnamon, rice pudding, clove. Quite sweet with a tart edge. Moderate body, slightly oily, very soft carbonation. A veritable Grenada spice market and I liked it.

Keg @ Craft Beer Co - Covent Garden. Hazed blushing gold, white ring of foam atop. Strong rhubarb nose. Nice prominent rhubarb to taste, clean and light. Decent.

Box @ Craft Beer Co - St Mary Axe. Pours a misty gold, sparse bubbles atop. Exceptionally spicy nose, continues to taste with a moderate apple sweetness buried underneath an intense spicy character. Probably a bit too spicy.

On tap at The Craft Beer Co - Covent Garden, pours a clear golden with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out gentle farmhouse notes and dry apple skins with a light champagne effervescence. Flavour is gently dry, with champagne-like effervescence, some farmhouse notes, and crisp apple skins. Medium sweetness that could be dialled down a bit, but the farmhouse character really shines. Very good.
