Can. Clear pale gold with a cm of white head. Aroma of bread, earthy spices, some berries. Dryish with less bread than suggested by the aroma - a bit empty really. Not so earthy but little berries and spices towards a modestly bitter finish.

Can at Ardes Residence, Helsinki. Colour is Clear light golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, grain, hops and malts. Some strange elements but pretty enjoyeable.

Can. Brown with a good cm of pale beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, sticky breadcrust, some stewed fruit. So it tastes. For me, the grapefruity hops don't mesh with the friendly caramel and brown bready malt all that well, but it's tasty enough.

Can. Clear pale gold with an inch of white head that lasts OK. Gentle aroma of cereal, light floral and spicy hops. Clean, dryish. Soft malt with a little more spicy bitterness at the end. Good if less interesting than their other pilsners.

Pours dark amber with a large pale tan head.Nose shows toasty malt, melanoidin bready notes, caramel and nutty malt.Flavours includes more toasty and bready malt, a caramel-like sweetness. A hint of booze also.

Can. Opaque sandy orange with a cm of white head. Subdued citrus aroma with spearmint, melon, some tropical fruit. More vibrant citrus - orange and Meyer lemon, some citrus blossoms - upon a sip. Woolly textured, sweet with gentle herbal notes and little bitterness.

Fox Friday Ya Filthy Animal 12% Imperial Stout with Christmas pudding, cherries, vanilla beans Deep black with incredibly thick dense dark beige foam. Savory umami dark chocolate up front then soft christmasy notes of fruits and spice. Full bodied and velvety smooth with bitter dark chocolate up front, roasted malts then sweet Christmas fruit spicing starts to mix in with the bitter chocolate. Dangerously smooth for the high ABV.

Early Carwyn Canvent. Black with a coat of tan head that doesn't last. Aroma of Bounty, some roast, caramel, light spices. So it tastes. But the chocolate is darker and better than a Bounty and the sweetness is tamed a little by cautious bitterness. You can't taste lactose but you can feel it. A little warmth at the end. Pretty good.
