Description
Living Häus Beer Co is a lager-forward brewery located in the Pacific Northwest city of Portland, OR and is co-owned by Conrad Andrus and Mat Sandoval. With a combined 20 years of professional brewing experience, we have become creators, engineers, scientists, artists, and critical thinkers while on our path to brew the best beers we can. We are proud to showcase our ability in our craft with the self awareness to know that we are always learning and growing.

WHAT DO WE MAKE?
We aim to make clean, intentional, and curious beers in our brewery. Explorative, yet refined versions of classic and upcoming styles such as Lager beer, IPA, Stouts, sessionable, restrained fruited beers, and everything in between will have a home on our menu. We strive to use unique and expressive hand selected malts and hops from the best growing regions in the world.

HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?
We are different because our collective and unique experiences have driven us to the cutting edge of the beer industry. Through our exploration of styles and ingredients, we have developed our ability to make beers that are extreme but have more so learned to make beers that are balanced, nuanced, and delicious.

On tap at Living Haus, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has some earthy, sweaty hops, pine, and red berry. Flavour is clean, with light berry, gentle pine, and biscuity malt. Not the most vibrant hop expression, but the structure of the beer is very good. Solid enough, but far from my favourite from these guys.

On tap at Living Haus, pours a clear dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma has lots of English bready malt, earthiness, and toasted malt. Flavour has deep English bready malt, a touch of toffee, light earthiness, and a touch of toasted nuts. Great English malt character. Nicely done brown.

On tap at Living Haus, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of earthy dry-hopping, light citrus, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is clean, with light floral hops, some grass, and crisp biscuity malt. Better than the average Italian pils, but not great.

On tap at Living Haus, pours a lightly hazed blonde with a small white head. Aroma is mega-dank, with lots of tangy hop oils, some pine, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is bright and assertive, with big dank hops, pine cones, some melony hop tang, and dry crisp biscuity malt. Wonderful hop blend, potently assertive hop structure. Fantastic WCIPA.

On tap at Living Haus, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of banana, clove, and some bready malt. Flavour is quite estery, with tons of banana esters, a touch of clove, and bready malt. A bit too much banana even for the style. I just don’t love this expression.

On tap at Living Haus, pours a clear blonde with a medium white head. Aroma reveals fresh straw and some crockery notes. Flavour is clean, with fresh straw, some bittering grassy hops, and crisp crackery malt. This honestly shits all over most kolschs you’d find in Cologne. Fresh, bitter, clean finish. Very good.

On tap at Living Haus, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out some tangy citrusy hops, light pine, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is bright and super clean, revealing a wonderful cat pissy hop character, pine, light allium, and crisp biscuity malt. Bright, tangy; good Citra expression especially. Excellent.

On tap at Horse Brass, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has bright melony hops, bitter like; and grapefruit rind. Flavour is bright and assertive, with intense piney hops, some resins, light dankness, grapefruit rind, and just enough biscuity malt to back. Piney, grapefruity, bright finish. Astoundingly good.
