Description
Living Häus Beer Co is a lager-forward brewery located in the Pacific Northwest city of Portland, OR and is co-owned by Conrad Andrus and Mat Sandoval. With a combined 20 years of professional brewing experience, we have become creators, engineers, scientists, artists, and critical thinkers while on our path to brew the best beers we can. We are proud to showcase our ability in our craft with the self awareness to know that we are always learning and growing.

WHAT DO WE MAKE?
We aim to make clean, intentional, and curious beers in our brewery. Explorative, yet refined versions of classic and upcoming styles such as Lager beer, IPA, Stouts, sessionable, restrained fruited beers, and everything in between will have a home on our menu. We strive to use unique and expressive hand selected malts and hops from the best growing regions in the world.

HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?
We are different because our collective and unique experiences have driven us to the cutting edge of the beer industry. Through our exploration of styles and ingredients, we have developed our ability to make beers that are extreme but have more so learned to make beers that are balanced, nuanced, and delicious.

16 oz. can, pours a hazed golden with a small white head. Aroma has bright pine, gentle allium, some nice citrusy hop tang, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is bright, with plenty of a bright citrusy hop tang, light allium, some pine, a touch of floral notes, and crisp biscuity malt. Great balance, finishing with orange peel, floral hops, and citrusy hop tang. For a combo of hops that aren’t my favourite, the hop expression is excellent.

Can from Tavour: pours light brown with beige head. Nice nutty and toasty aroma. Taste is lightly bitter, little sweet. Body is ample for the small size. It is hitting the dots pretty well all across the board.

473mL can, pours a lightly hazed golden blonde with a small white head. So, will the Tangier ruin this, or will the Chinook and Simcoe rescue this? Aroma has some oily, piney, woody hops, a hint of dankness, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour has some dankness I wouldn’t have expected from a Chinook/Simcoe bill, with oily pine, some wood, and light grapefruit peel. Nice bitterness, good expression; thankfully, the Tangier didn’t ruin this. Excellent.

Slight haze. Thin head. This has a combination of onion and pine, with a light bit of pale malt. On the palate, a touch yeasty, good malt, and some blueberry, piney hop accents. Solid, I guess a bit of chinook bitterness and mainly simcoe on the palate. Medium bitterness.

473mL can. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Tons of bright, woody pine on the nose; a touch of berries. Flavour has crisp, woody pine, some resins, and a touch of berries. The Simcoe and Chinook are very well-expressed. This is a great IPA, despite the presence of Tangier.

473mL can. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Biscuit malts, juicy melon, and dry, resinous pine on the nose. Flavour has dry, herbal pine character, melons, resin, and biscuit malts. Crisp and very drinkable; hops are a bit on the dirty side.
