Bottle share at RBBWG 2017, thanks for sharing.

At RBBWG, thanks for sharing. Thin but densely moussy, pale beige head quickly reduced to a steady rim around the glass, black robe with hazy burgundy edges. Aroma of walnut shells, bitter chocolate, leather, toasted brown bread, old dry sherry, wet wood, brambleberries, black tea, balsamico, unsugared fruit yoghurt. Fruity, estery onset, passion fruit, sour cherries even, unripe plum, sweetish core surrounded by drying tartness which stretches out over the rest of the palate, pleasantly drying and sour without becoming overly acidic, resting on a softly carbonated, caramelly, ’moelleux’, nutty malt basis with toasted bitterish aspects in the finish, accentuated by a red wine-ish tartness and drying woody tannins. Sour stouts are still something of a rarity even in these experimental craft beer times but there cannot be enough of them as far as I am concerned and this is certainly a top notch example, coming across as a hybrid of Flemish red (’oud bruin’) and double stout.

Reddish rustbrown head, gone in secs over redbrown highlighted black beer; Sourish (lactic), wood, chocolate, old spirit, vinous, complex. Unbelievably complex in the mouth; roasted, sourish, lactic, buttermilk, non-sweet liquorice, and extra chocolate in the aftertaste. Well-bodied, superb balance. Dangerously drinkable, making this an exceptional beer.

Clear dark purple brown beer, small irregular beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very roasted, dark chocolate, dry, bit spicy touch, dusty. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body, oily texture. Taste: very sourish, acidic, lots of vinegar, bit metallic. Aftertaste: sourish, red wine notes, bit metallic, pretty unpleasant, don't like it much.

Never heard of these guys until I saw their stuff on sale at Bar Volo. An orange Amber with a light beige head. Oak, pepper, vinegar, vanilla, and spice aroma. Light bodied, dry with a tasty flavor of cardamom, vanilla, mild oak, caramel chocolate (turtles) flavor. Yum.

Ölföreningen 2015. Smak och doft av choklad, trä, fat, kaffe med toner av lakrits. Fruktig, rund och len med fin syrlighet. Gott!
