About
It all has started with a dream. OK, let's be honest, it's started with a glass of beer. Brewed by someone else.

Dream big. Always dream big, you know. We started small because at the beginning the only thing we had was our dream. We haven't owned any equipment, so our first brews were born at other city and other mash tun entirely. But we took one step at the time and soon our very own, very handcrafted and assembled by hand brewery arrived from Bila Tserkva. We installed it here in Kyiv at the premises of the former lumber house – “lisopylka” in Ukrainian, hence the name of the brew-pub – and continued the pursuit of our dream.

Today we have new state-of-the-art brewery and immensely proud of it. Don't think that we discarded our small but utterly loved old brewing system, because we have, yes you've guessed, BIG plans for it. And we keep on dreaming big. We just want to share this dream of better beer, sheer enjoyment of the drink, greater and more diverse beer culture, share it with you.

Lighter shade of black topped with a tan head that veers to the edge.
Nose is dark malts, spice, herb, cocoa powder, dried fruit esters.
Taste comprises chocolate shavings, tonka notes, mellow roast, light alcohol, molasses, wooded vibes.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Decent sipper.

Semi opaque dark brown beer, a bubbly tan head. Airy palate, light and a little dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Fairly light bodied on the malt front, mild dark malt cream and a little dark chocolate. Touch of roasty bitterness. I assume some sort of whiskey barrel aging, certainly tastes like whiskey soaked ripe fruits, a touch of oak induced vanilla, some whiskey spice. Light finish. Impressively quaffable for a near 15% brew but other than that, standard fayre.

Nydelig rød farge, nesten klar, men litt disig. Lyse rødt skum. Tydelig bringebær aroma, men den føles litt kunstig. Syrlig. Lett, med skuffende tynn kropp, men. Det er tross alt et svakt øl, så man skal ikke forvente så mye. Selv om den er både syrlig og lett, så føles den allikevel ikke så syrlig som jeg hadde forventet ... Snodig.

Semi opaque dark brown beer, a decent bubbly tan head dies quickly. Some odd runbery aspects on the snout. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation coming through on the back end. Smooth if fairly light bodied dark malts. Mild smooth dark malt cream and dark chocolate. Tonka? No but tastes like it might have had some. Not sure how this has been barrel aged, I mean clearly Amburana and Whiskey barrels have played a part. Floral Amburana and a pretty punchy and spicy whiskey streak. So is this an Amburana whiskey barrel or a blend? Answers on a postcard please! Some rubbery bitterness on the close that carries over from the snoz. Fun brew and viva Ukraine!
