Appearance: black in the glass with a finger's worth of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: coffee roastiness, dark malts, some milk chocolate, dark chocolate and vanilla sweetness
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to roasty and underscored by a little bit of bitterness; finishes chocolatey with vanilla
Texture: medium bodied, sessionable; very smooth along the tongue
Overall: nicely done pastry stout I'd have again.

Draft at Paragon, 8/15/25. Unclear yellowish color, white head, moderate lace. Grains, spice, pale malt, some citrus. Okay feel. Fine overall, but lacking the crispness and the NZ hop flavors I was hoping for.

16 oz can from NJ Wine Seller, Green Brook, 7/10/25. Pours a fully hazy brighter orange color with a smaller white head that dissipates down to nothing and leaves little to no lace on the glass. Rather juicy and sweet. Fairly tropical. Overripe mango and pineapple. Some stone fruit as well. A bit of booziness. Drinks a little on the sticky side with a fairly soft carbonation. Pretty good overall.
