500ml bottle. Crystal clear dark gold with light white head. Quite a malty cereal and toasted grain aroma with very light fusty hop. Taste is malty as per aroma with some modest corn syrup, grass and black pepper. Some bitterness and moderate crisp finish. One of those lagers that isn't terrible but is so middling its instantly forgettable.

330ml can at 59p. A cloudy peach coloured pour with brief fizz. Aroma has a pleasant if slightly confected fruity peach. Taste again is very sweet tinned peach, semi-drying finish with fruity tang. Maybe a hint of apple peel although might be imagining it. Not getting much pudding dough element. Cheap alco-pop in character so can't give a 3+ but quite tasty.

660ml bottle. Clear gold with spotted white head. Standard grain and corn malt character on the nose. Taste starts the same but there is a light citric character and reasonable grassy bitter bite. Light to mid bodied, well carbonated as standard. Its ok for the style.

Can from Aldi, Coleshill. Clear gold, small white head. Aroma of light caramel, toasted grains, floral and earthy hop. Taste of biscuit, caramel, quite a floral-herbal hop with bitter finish. Light bodied but some slickness, drying. OK.

Can from Aldi, Coleshill. Clear bright amber with nice looking off-white head. Aroma is floral with a hint of toasted grains and spice. Taste has a toasted grain, flora, touch of citrus, grassy bitterness in the finish with some light spice tingle. Medium bodied, semi-drying. Much better than expected.

Look: Clear gold, nice looking carbonation, moderate sized white head. Aroma: Lemonade, waxy lemon, light pale malts Taste: Quite tasty: lemon/lemonade comes through well, a touch of pith, sugars, light lager malts and a grassy bitterness. Palate: Light to medium bodied, slick with a modest dryness and soft carbonation. Overall: Surprisingly very nice. Good lemonade quality, refreshing, sweet but not overbearing, still has some grassy bitterness from lager.

Bottle. Clear amber-brown with small tight white head, very good retention. Aroma is quite malty with caramel, a touch of tea and spice but not overly hoppy. Taste again malty with caramel, a touch of cardboard, tea, spice, a slight tangy citric note in a semi-bitter drying finish. Slick light to medium body. Its ok.

Look: Clear gold, small white head, poor retention. Aroma: Slight toffee, tea, sweet floral, cereals, a touch of cardboard. Taste: Not great; grains, sweet floral resin, paper, tea, bitter. Palate: A bit thin, semi-drying, low on carbonation. Overall: For a basic lager not worth the £1.69

440ml can. Clear gold with small white head. Aroma of grapefruit, light citrus pith, pale malts; pleasant enough if a little dull in the hoppiness. Taste is somewhat dry and bitter with grapefruit, tangy orange, cereals. Easy drinking slick mouthfeel which is a nice counter to the dryness. Its ok.
