(Draught at Bierlokaal De Uiver, Haarlem, 10 Aug 2023) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of bread, citrus, grass and herbal hops. Malty, hoppy taste with biscuits, grass, citrus and a balanced herbal bitterness. Light body, quite dry. On the thin side, but highly drinkable and refreshing. Nice one.

Very dark brown with thin lacy head. Sweet aroma and flavour like rum and brown sugar. Quite boozy.

Fairly well made beer. On the bitter side for the low abv and balance. But solid job worth buying more kaapse beer. Bierkonig ams

Roodbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is overwegend bitter met iets van citrus, wat karamel, sinaasappel en een heel klein beetje rook. heel goed met een droge afdronk.

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy golden, very thin white head. Aroma: Brett, malty. Taste: Malty, moderate to over moderate sweet. Light bitterness. Brett funk. Spicy hints. Medium body. Everything ok so far, but where is the carbonation gone? Almost flat. Sometimes that's ok, but in this case this beer would definitely benefit from more carbonation. Drinkable, quite ok, but minuspoints for that.

375 ml waxed top bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.5%. Hazy reddish brown colour, minimal and shortlived off-white head. Aroma of grape juice, wine and oak, some malts in the background. Light bodied for its ABV. The flavour is not very sweet, and has the same elements as the aroma. Nice enough.
