Description
Founder Tsjomme Zijlstra's idea to start his own brewery came to him after his time in England. He started to brew his own beer at home and decided in 2014 that he wanted go bigger. He met Menno and John, owners of Brouwerij de Molen in Bodegraven, and told them his story. They taught him how to brew with one of their old brewing installations. Kaapse Brouwers was born.
We are Kaapse Brouwers. We are the brewers who introduced craft beer to Rotterdam, and Rotterdam to the world. With our Kaapse recipes we brew non-conformist beers. We choose for bold recipes and love to experiment with different flavors to create contemporary craft beers.

Draft @ BBP Wanderlust festival 2019, shared with RB Belgian team.

Draft @ BBP Wanderlust festival 2019, shared with RB Belgian team.

Draft @ BBP Wanderlust festival 2019, shared with RB Belgian team.

Draught @ the brewpub Aroma has sweet fruity tones and caramel. Flavour has sweet caramel, woody notes, some alcohol and mild menthol vibes. Also ripe fruits. Quite typical american-style BW.

Draught @ the brewpub Aroma is quite mild with caramel. Flavour has strong bourbon tones, alcohol, vanilla, gluey tones and caramel. Out of balance and too gluey. Drinkability is not that great.

Draught @ the brewpub Aroma is nice with coffee and licorice. Flavour has licorice, some fruitiness and mild coffee vibes. Not bad but I like my stouts less tropical.

Draught @ the brewpub Aroma has caramel, resin and minerals. Flavour has caramel, resin, minerals and hints of menthol. A solid amber ale. Why this is listed as IPA?
