Description
Founded in 1900, Cervezas Ambar is an independent Spanish brewery that maintains the spirit of a constantly evolving family enterprise. With 18 beer varieties, it has more specialities than any other brand. It continues to produce beer at the same brewery where it began operations in the early part of the last century, located in the historic San José neighbourhood. There they maintain the craft processes of the 20th century, with their own malting facility and the only open vat fermentation room still in use anywhere in Spain.

Pale gold, hazy, with a frothy white head that lingers. Aroma of tangerines and something resembling a sugary, peach syrup. Taste follows through along those lines—sweet, almost cloying, artificial. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Not my thing.

Very hazy amber with quickly disappearing head leaving a few mm thick covering. Interesting nose lemon, oak, champagne. Smells almost like a sour. Interesting hints on top of the lemon in the mouth. Again oak (checking if it spends time in a barrel: can't find anything). Very lemony without being bitter. Ok but a bit weak.

@Lanzarote. Clear medium amber colour, fair off-white creamy head, dissipating slowly, thin creamy layer remains, heavy lacing. Aroma roasted and sweet malt, caramel, brown sugar, sugar syrup. Flavour light heavy sweet and slightly bitter, malty, toffee, candy sugar, alcohol. Sugary and malty sweetbitter finish, caramel and syrup notes, bit boozy impression. Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, not bad but overall too sweet.

33 cl bottle at bar Saldaña, Molina de Aragón, Spain, during the 500th anniversary of its peculiar sort of Christmas Eve (on December 7!!) It pours clear golden with almost no head. Aroma is honey, dry leaves and, strange, tea. Nice surprise. Dry, watery, crisp, with a rather abrupt final bitterness and tinges -again, of tea.

330ml bottle. Hazy, grey-ish, orangey golden colour with small to average, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Sugary sweet-ish, slightly artificial, fruity aroma, hints of peach, apricot, Trolli Pfirsichringe. Taste is watery, sweet-ish sugary, slightly leafy and bitter, minimally citrusy and fruity hoppy, a touch of lemon and peach, peach flavoured ice rea. Quite anaemic, slightly artificial, sugary sweet - not good.

0.33 bottle. The label on its bottle is beautiful, filled with very little head, and its color is average and even ale-standard rather disembodied light yellow. It smells a little bad. Something that doesn't fit the stinky smell I haven't felt with ale beers yet. I checked, it didn't spoil. It tastes sour and barely bitter. A very basic beer, nothing outstanding in it, not worth the price. It tastes like a large-scale corny lager, I don't even understand ...

Üvege címkéje szép, kitöltve habja nagyon kevés, színe átlagos- sőt ale-mércével inkább testetlen világos sárga. Illata picit rossz.

Utterly forgettable.
