Bottle, as Carrefour 1133 Biere dAbbaye. A clear, golden beer with a small, dense and off-white head. Some cellar and wet cardboard blend with malty and fruity flavors reminiscent of those found in a blonde. The flavor is very much the same, mostly fruity with pale malts, some cellar and cardboard, and a slightly spiced note. Decent bitterness to balance the sweetness in the finish. Medium body. A boring one, really discount-ish. Been there done that. (090116)

Can 50cl.[ As Carrefour 1133 Biere dAbbaye ]. Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, roasted notes, moderate yeasty, toffee. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Very much a industrial beer. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20081122]

Can. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of tequila and guave fruits. The flavor has strong notes of guave fruits as well as medium notes of tequila, leading to a dry bitter finish.

10/01 0.25 l bottle courtesy of ogivlado, thanks! What a name for my first Biere de garde! Well, it poured deep golden body with big, slightly yellow head. Interesting aroma, ale banana yeasty, some honey malt and spices. A bit stale flavor, but otherwise fine, nice yeasty and malty with some subtle components like herbal spices. Well balanced between sour and sweet, but quite thin bodied. Finish is nice, medium to longer, reflecting the flavor. An OK beer, but I hope other examples of the style are better, with more flavor so I could get its point.

Bottle courtesy of ogivlado (thanks!), shared with heavy. Poured a golden body with a medium sized thick white head that went away somewhat slowly. The nose is interesting, lemony and dust yet flowery, some cloves too. The cloves dominate the taste, asserting themselves over some herbal/vegetable notes. Ok maltiness. Can be considered tasty despite the fact that it tastes like a cross between a clovey wheat beer and a pale lager.

bottle from carrefour in las palmas, gran canaria. clear yellow, small white head. faint beer aroma, faint but okay. flavor is watery, slightly fruity, reasonable hops. palate is VERY thin. i think this is my thinnest beer ever, but unlike few other thin beers, it did taste okay.

aroma of roasted stuff, alc. aroma a little brutal. appears brown, clear, small head. flavor of caramel, roasted stuff, burnt caramel. overall tastes too much like cheap beer, and again with a carrefour beer, the ingredients are so thin flavoured that the alc is too dominant.
