Draught. Hazy nut brown colour, beige mediumsized head. Aroma is fruity and flowery hops with some hints of yeast. The flavour is quite the same along with some grassyness.

On tap at the Oluthoune Kaisla, Helsinki. Jet black with a flat tan head; a rich roasted malt aroma with traces of espresso; silky smooth in the mouth, packed with dark fruit flavours; followed by a smokey, dry bitterness, then rounded off with a sweer creamy finish with a touch of licorice. My first dark Finnish beer, and certainly not my last.

Hand pump at the Pullman Bar, Helsinki. Chestnut with a white head; fresh citrus aroma; sharply bitter with grapefruit tones, developing a tangy citrus sweetness. A well balanced bitter.

Ruby-amber red color, small lacey and creamy off-white head. Berry-like sweetish aroma, sugars, some hops and maybe hints of vinegar. Malty, a bit sticky flavors. Also some vinegar and English hops. Not the most balanced ale from Stadin Panimo.

Dark amber color, not much head. Strong nice aroma of smoke and tar, like in Finnish tar-licorice candies. Very malty, dry woody mouthfeel. Juniper and smoke dominate the flavor. Interesting rauchbier with kind of sahti influences.

Amber color, small creamy tan head. Flowery hoppy, trefoil aroma. Bitterish, a bit alcoholic flavor. Unbalanced attacking hops. Fruity notes, not too alcoholic. Somehow didn’t impress me.

Opaque black, creamy expresso head. Crisp, light cocoa in the nose. Medium bodied. Roasted malty with cold coffee flavor and vegetably notes. Toasted aftertaste. Not far from Stadin stout for Pullmann. I’m not excited about this one, a bit too simple.

Draught@Pullman. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is licorace, caramel, hops and slight rubber. Flavour is enormously roasted malts, caramel, coffee and bittering hop. The roast/wet smoked wood stays in long in the aftertaste. A very pleasant beer by Stadin Panimo!
