16 ounce can. Aroma and flavor are direct reflection of each other. Soft raspberry on top of chocolate with vanilla and a mild sweet finish. Of course the lactose helps a little bit in the mouth feel but I could really do without it. Thankfully it’s not overly sweet so it still works. I really love this brewery when they DON’T use lactose.

On tap at the brewery. It's a murky, light brown with no sparkle, finger-width off-white head with decent retention and light lacing. Aroma is cinnamon donuts. Taste is a sweet fruit donut--apple. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, sweet but not overly so. More like an apple fritter than a coconut donut, but still good.

On tap at the brewery. It's a cloudy, golden-light brown with no sparkle, thin cap of white head with fair retention and nice lacing. Aroma is a subtle mixture of grainy malt and light fruit. Taste is citrus, pear, pine, mild fruit and malt backbone. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, more conventional APA than all the flavors in the description. Good strength of aroma and taste for 5.8%.

On tap at the brewery. It's an opaque, dark yellow with no sparkle, finger-width white foamy head with excellent retention and nice sticky soapy lacing. Aroma is strong citrus over grapefruit. Taste is citrus but a little restrained and some pine and herb as well. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, decent complexity and good strength of aroma and taste.

On tap at the brewery. It's an opaque yellow with no sparkle, decent white foamy head with nice sticky soapy lacing. Aroma is strong citrus with some piney resin. Taste is strong, nonspecific citrus and fruit. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, somewhat thick texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with mild lingering bitterness. Overall, a little on the conventional IPA side and not getting all the tropical notes in the description. Still, decent.

Can (2/21/21) pour from the brewery. It's a cloudy dark brown (mahogany with light source directly behind) with light sparkle, finger-width fizzy beige head quickly fading to a ring and no lacing. Aroma is strong mix of roasted malt/coffee (slightly to the charred side though this fades as it warms), buttery french toast, cinnamon and lactose. Taste follows aroma and I swear I get some maple syrup (even though there's none in here, and what's up with that--who has plain French Toast!!). Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with smooth texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, I don't think I've ever had someone capture French Toast as well as this. Though it evokes maple syrup, that would make it out of this world! Excellent just the same.

Hazy medium orange-brown body, medium tight off-white head. Nose tart, lime and white grape. Pillowy-soft body, again mostly grape, grapenuts cereal, and grapeskin. Light, cerealy body. Solid, but $3.50/can is steep.

16 oz. can. Aroma is all pineapples. Flavor has light coconut with a bold presence of pineapple. Also a mango-ish thing going on here. The sabro hop really comes forward as it warms. I really dig sabro in certain circumstances. This particular beer is one of them.
