Description
In 1728, Aspall was founded by Clement Chevallier in the parish of Aspall, Suffolk. While all around him were growing cereals, he chose to plant apple trees. Almost 300 years on, we’re still going against the grain, making remarkable cyder & cyder vinegars at the original Aspall Cyder House.

Bottle from Tesco. It pours crystal clear super pale greenish gold with a quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is fairly muted, zingy, crunchy apple, apple skin, lemon-lime, musty and dirt. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, zingy, tart, lemon - lime, white grape, green apple, apple skin, fizzy, appletiser, nip of booze and sour green chewits with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, fizzy carbonation. I kinda like sour edge to it. Not much depth though.

Keg at at Jocks Bar, Oldmeldrum. It pours clear super pale greenish yellow with a small, fizzy white head. The aroma is quite sweet, candy, icing sugar, appetiser, candied apple and apple tango. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, bitter - sweet, sugary, quite sweet apple, apple skin, appletiser, dull acidity/ tartness and twist of lemon with a drying finish. Average body and moderate, prickly carbonation. It's fine overall. Drinks easy enough, but nothing special.
