Description
In 1728, Aspall was founded by Clement Chevallier in the parish of Aspall, Suffolk. While all around him were growing cereals, he chose to plant apple trees. Almost 300 years on, we’re still going against the grain, making remarkable cyder & cyder vinegars at the original Aspall Cyder House.

Draught at the Vault, Darlington. Reddish amber colour, thin white foam head and aroma of raspberry & apple. Taste is sweet, raspberry, green apple, pulpy, with some sugar and tart acidity. Medium bodied, high carbonation, sweet finish. OK.

Bottle from Waitrose, Saxmundham. Deeper red coloured cider with its berry dominant in flavour although very low in sweetness - whether this is the nettle influence I am unsure.

On tap at Little Island brewery, Singapore (ridiculous price! Aud 20!). Nose is apple, clear cider, thin ring on top. Zero carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel, medium body, easy drinking. Finish is lingering apple core. That's it, 20 bucks gone!

Bottle from Asda Dyce. #292 vintage. It pours clear deep amber with no head, like apple juice from concentrate. The aroma is sweet, sticky, sugary, over ripe apple, apple pie, pie crust, apple skin, touch if earth and leather. The taste is crisp, dry initially, then it sweetens up, sugary, sticky, over ripe apple, apple juice from concentrate, apple pie, apple tango, slick, oily, light tangy pucker, alcohol is pretty well tamed, but you can feel it after a while and light caramel with a tangy finish. Medium+ body, fine carbonation and slick, oily mouth feel. Simple, sweet, but actually it's fine.
