Canned 2/18/16, drunk 3/10/16, thanks to Blisscent.
A huge wallop of grapefruit and pineapple hits the nose upon cracking the can. Pours a very hazy, deep golden-bronze color with a medium-sized white head that shows moderate to moderately-strong retention.
Big pineapple and orange rind in the nose slowly allow lighter mango and meyer lemon notes to unfold. Almost doughy maltiness in the background shows plenty of bread and light honey. Limes and grapefruits linger on the end, with no alcohol or flaw.
Lightly earthy, with a strong spiciness not found in the nose, perhaps the bitterness kicking in. It’s definitely more bitter than your average juice bomb, though this is not really a juice bomb, being much more given to dry pineapple and strong citrus character. Dry, but with the always wonderful carbonation/texture of Tree House. With warming/breathing, it lightens up somewhat and the bitterness gets soaked up by more malt being perceived. Lightly dank, earthy flavors abound but the signature grapefruit and pineapple still remain. Alcohol is well-concealed, though it has a bit of a drying effect on the beer and does contribute some light sharpness. Pretty much exactly Trillium’s double dry hopped Summer Street, which is a well-made beer, as well, though very challenging for me to drink. I much prefer the non-bitter juice bombs.

Canned 2/8/16, drunk 3/10/16. Thanks to blisscent!
Even after two weeks cold in the fridge, it still manages that signature haziness. Bright flaxen-gold with a large white head that is well-retained.
Before even pouring the stuff, a ton of juicy watermelon rises up out of the can. Ok. This is going to be good. Pouring releases mango, lychee, various melon notes and some danker, lightly pine-accented aromatics as well. Malts are reserved to the background, as they should be, leaving only light honey and a touch of cracker. No alcohol or flaws. Watermelon lingering delightfully long.....
Juicy, well-attenuated, but still malty enough to balance the hops and add a soft texture. Ultra-tight carbonation and just pure tropical fruit juiciness for days. Very low bitterness, with just a touch of light pine/grapefruit, which actually does help keep the beer on its toes. Lights On, at only 5.6%, achieves much, much more flavor and aroma than most beers in the 7% range, which is quite a feet, while still remaining ridiculously drinkable.

Bottle shared at the Canary wharf tasting 16/02/2016. Many thanks to Leighton for this. Opaque black, mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting halo of mid tan head. Aroma is big earthy coffee, dirt, dark choc. Flavour is composed of earthy coffee, semi sweet, hint of vanilla, wood. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation. Light jammy plum fruits. Ok. Flavour is slightly muted compared to the lovely aroma.
